The protection of your personal data and the preservation of your privacy is important to us. You can expect us to handle your data sensitively and carefully and to ensure a high level of data security.
We naturally comply with the provisions of the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP), the Ordinance to the Federal Act on Data Protection (OFADP) and other applicable data protection regulations, in particular the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). References to the FADP are to be understood as references to the GDPR insofar as data transfers are subject to the GDPR.
In this Privacy Policy, we inform you about the most important aspects of data processing in connection with our website and our SUNNYCLOCK App «SUNNYCLOCK» as well as your data protection rights.
The version current at the time of use always applies. We reserve the right to revise this Privacy Policy at any time.

- Email address

- Name
- Message
The legal basis for processing your personal data is our legitimate interest in handling your enquiry. You may object to this data processing at any time. Please send your objection to the following email address: ask@sunnyclock.com. In such a case, your enquiry will not be processed further.
2.3 User Account
A user account can be created either via our website (Web Account) or by installing the App (App Account). The App Account and Web Account (= User Account) can be linked and synchronised via the App.
2.4 Web Account
On our website you can create a Web Account and log in and register for events. For this purpose, we require your email address and your first and last name.
The first and last name is displayed to all event participants after logging into the event (also referred to as activating the event), regardless of whether they participate via the App or the Web. The email address is not shown to event participants and is used for communication and marketing in connection with an event.
If the event for which you are registering requires verification of a telephone number, we also require a mobile telephone number for registration.
Only organisers and hosts of the event have access to verified telephone numbers of users. This access is used exclusively for the following purposes:
- Communication by hosts with participants in urgent cases
- Support and problem resolution for event registrations
The following data is transmitted to Payrexx (see also the Business Account chapter) for payment of an event:
- Contact details (name, first name and email address) of a user (buyer)
- Payment amount, event name and event date
- In addition, the necessary payment data must be shared with Payrexx AG. SUNNYCLOCK AG itself does not store any payment data, neither from App, Web nor Business Accounts.
We use the collected data on the basis of our legitimate interests for the provision and management of the Web Account, the purchase of activities and events, promoting networking and exchange among participants, facilitating identification and contact during the event, supporting a personalised and pleasant event experience as well as personalising and improving our offering. A further legal basis is the performance of the contract, i.e. the event for which you have registered, or the implementation of pre-contractual measures.
2.5 Business Account
You can create a Business Account in collaboration with us. The Business Account enables a presence as a professional organiser and the creation, sale and management of paid activities and events, the identification of event participants via a mobile telephone number, the building of followers and other additional functions. In this context, we generally collect and process the following data:
- Name of the company or Business Account operator
- Contact persons and administrators of the account
- Email address
- Further required business information
Only organisers and hosts of a Business Account have access to the verified telephone numbers of users. This access is used exclusively for the following purposes:
- Communication by hosts with participants in urgent cases
- Support and problem resolution for event registrations
For the sale of paid activities and events, each Business Account is granted access to a payment platform solution at www.pay.sunnyclock.com. The payment platform is operated by Payrexx AG in CH-3600 Thun for SUNNYCLOCK (Privacy Policy). All data for the creation of a Business Account and payment of revenues is collected by Payrexx. SUNNYCLOCK AG itself does not store any payment data, neither from App, Web nor Business Accounts.
SUNNYCLOCK establishes the connection between User and Business Account so that User Accounts associated with a Business Account can sell their events. A User Account can belong to multiple Business Accounts.
The legal basis is the performance of the contract, i.e. the activity or event you plan and sell, or the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In certain cases, processing also takes place on the basis of legitimate interests, in particular to ensure IT security and improve our offering.
2.6 Performance of Contractual Services
We also process your data for the purpose of fulfilling our contractual and pre-contractual obligations, in particular in connection with the provision of our services in connection with the SUNNYCLOCK App. The personal data processed, the type, scope, purpose and necessity of their processing are determined by the underlying contractual relationship.
The personal data processed includes:
- Master data (e.g. name, address)
- Contact data (e.g. email address, telephone number) and
- Contract data (e.g. services used, subject matter of the contract, contractual communications, names of contact persons).
We generally do not process special categories of personal data, unless these are components of contractually compliant processing.
In the context of using our services, we may also store the IP address and the time of the respective user action. Storage takes place on the basis of our legitimate interests as well as the interests of users in protection against misuse and other unauthorised use.
2.7 Market Research and Opinion Surveys
We collect personal data in the context of market research and opinion surveys.
The legal basis for processing your personal data in the context of market and opinion surveys is the existence of your consent.
Detailed information, in particular regarding the categories of data collected as well as the evaluation of your responses, can be found in the respective survey or where you provide your information.
Your responses to surveys will not be passed on to third parties or published.
You may withdraw the consent you have given at any time. Please send your withdrawal to the following email address: ask@sunnyclock.com.
3 General Information on Cookies
We use cookies on our website and within our SUNNYCLOCK App on the basis of our legitimate interests. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your mobile phone (or laptop, tablet, smartphone, etc.) with the help of the browser. They serve to make the use of our services more user-friendly and effective overall and to make your visit to our website or use of our SUNNYCLOCK App as pleasant as possible. Cookies do not cause any damage to your mobile phone. They cannot execute programmes or transmit viruses to your mobile phone.
Most of the cookies we use are so-called session cookies. These store a session ID, which allows different requests from your browser to be assigned to the web session. This allows your mobile phone to be recognised when you return to the website. Session cookies are automatically deleted when you log out or close the browser.
Other cookies we use, so-called persistent cookies, remain stored on your mobile phone beyond the respective usage process and allow us or our partner companies (third-party cookies, see Chapter 4 (Google Services) of this Privacy Policy) to recognise your browser on your next visit.
Finally, we use performance cookies to collect information about how you use our services. Such cookies help us to improve our services. We can use these cookies, for example, to determine whether you have visited a specific page.
The legal basis on which we process your personal data using cookies depends on whether we ask for your consent. If we ask for your consent and you consent to the use of cookies, the legal basis for processing your personal data is your consent. If we do not obtain your consent, we process the personal data processed using cookies on the basis of our legitimate interests (e.g. in the analysis and optimisation of our services and offerings) or, if the use of cookies is necessary to fulfil our contractual obligations.
Most browsers are regularly set to accept cookies. If you do not want this, you can set your browser to inform you when cookies are set and to allow the acceptance of cookies only in individual cases or to exclude them generally. You can also activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. In addition, you can delete cookies that have already been set at any time via the browser or other software programmes. However, the complete deactivation of cookies may result in individual functions of our website or SUNNYCLOCK App no longer working.
You can find information about this option for the most commonly used browsers via the following links:
- Microsoft Edge: Delete cookies in Microsoft Edge
- Firefox: Allow and block cookies

4 Google Services
On the basis of our legitimate interests in the analysis, optimisation and economic operation of our offering, we use the following services of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, or, if you have your habitual residence in the European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland, Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland («Google»):
- Google Analytics 4
- Google Firebase
- Google Maps
In addition, we process your personal data for the provision of our service in connection with the use of the SUNNYCLOCK App. The legal basis for processing is therefore, in addition to legitimate interests, also the contract between you and SUNNYCLOCK.
Google uses cookies. The cookies used by Google enable us to analyse the use of our website and our SUNNYCLOCK App. The information generated by the cookie about your use of our website or SUNNYCLOCK App (including your IP address) is transmitted to a Google server, possibly in the USA or other third countries, and stored there.
You can find more information on Google's terms of use and privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
4.1 Google Analytics 4
On our website we use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google that enables analysis of your use of our website.
Google Analytics uses cookies that are stored on your end device (laptop, tablet, smartphone, etc.) and enable analysis of your use of our website. This allows us to evaluate user behaviour on our website and to make our offering more interesting through the statistics/reports obtained.
By default, Google Analytics 4 does not use cookies when you visit the website, unless you explicitly consent to cookies. Instead, information about your usage behaviour is collected and processed via so-called pings (small data packets sent to the host of an end device). The scope of this information also includes your IP address, which is however shortened by Google by the last digits in order to exclude direct personal reference.
In Google Analytics 4, the anonymisation of IP addresses is activated by default. This means your IP address is shortened by Google within Switzerland or the EU/EEA before transmission. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server and shortened there.
All data processing operations described above, including the data transmission via pings and the possible setting of Google Analytics cookies, only take place if you have explicitly consented.
Without your consent, Google Analytics 4 will not be used during your visit to the website. You can withdraw your consent with effect for the future at any time. To exercise your right of withdrawal, please deactivate this service via the «Cookie Consent Tool» provided on the website.
We have concluded a data processing agreement with Google that ensures the protection of your data as visitors to our site and prohibits unauthorised disclosure to third parties. For the transfer of data to the USA, Google relies on the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission, which are intended to ensure compliance with the European level of data protection. Further legal information on Google Analytics 4, including a copy of the standard contractual clauses mentioned, can be found here: Privacy Policy & Terms of Service – Google.
Google Analytics 4 uses the special «demographic features» function and can use it to generate statistics that make statements about the age, gender and interests of website visitors. This is done through the analysis of advertising and information from third-party providers. This allows target groups to be identified for marketing activities. However, the data collected cannot be assigned to any specific person and is deleted after storage for a period of two months.
As an extension to Google Analytics 4, Google Signals can be used on the website to generate cross-device reports. If you have activated personalised ads and linked your devices to your Google Account, Google can analyse your usage behaviour across devices for the use of Google Analytics 4 and create database models, including for cross-device conversions. We do not receive any personal data from Google, only statistics. If you want to stop the cross-device analysis, you can deactivate the «Personalised advertising» function in the settings of your Google Account. Follow these instructions: Activate Google Signals – Google Analytics Help.
As an extension to Google Analytics 4, the «UserIDs» function can be used on the website. If you log in to different devices with this account, your activities, including conversions, can be analysed across devices.
Google uses this information to evaluate your pseudonymous use of our websites, to compile reports on website activities and to provide us with further services related to website and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser within the framework of Google Analytics is not merged with other data from Google, according to Google. When you visit our websites, your user behaviour in the form of events (e.g. page views, purchase activities incl. revenue, interaction with the website or your «click path») as well as other data such as your approximate location (country and city), technical information about your browser and the end devices you use or the referrer URL, i.e. via which website/advertising medium you came to our website, is recorded.
You can prevent the collection and transmission of the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of our website (incl. your IP address) to Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser add-on to deactivate Google Analytics. If you wish to object to interest-based advertising by Google, you can use the settings and opt-out options provided by Google.
If you allow cookies to be stored, Google Analytics retains your data for two months. Data that has reached the end of this retention period is automatically deleted. An overview of data usage in Google Analytics and the measures taken by Google to protect your data can be found in Google Analytics Help.
4.2 Google Maps
We use the Google service «Google Maps» to display geographical information visually.
Through the use of Google Maps, information about your use of our website, including your IP address and the (starting) address entered as part of the route planner function, may be transmitted to a Google server, possibly in the USA or other third countries, and stored there. Google may store this data as user profiles for the purposes of demand-oriented design of services, advertising and market research. If you are logged in to Google, your data will be assigned directly to your account. If you do not want this, you must log out beforehand. If you do not agree to the processing of your data, you can deactivate the Google Maps service and thus prevent the transmission of data to Google. To do this, you must deactivate the JavaScript function in your browser. We would however point out that in this case you will not be able to use Google Maps, or only to a limited extent.
Further information on data processing and privacy notices for Google Maps can be found at https://www.google.com/intl/en_en/help/terms_maps/ and https://policies.google.com/privacy.
4.3 Push Notifications
You can register to receive our push notifications. For this purpose, we use the services Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (Android) and Apple Push Notifications Service (iOS).
To register for push notifications, you must confirm the query from your browser or end device for receiving push notifications. This consent process is documented and stored. This data serves on the one hand to enable us to send you push notifications and on the other hand as proof of your registration. You can change your consent to receive push notifications at any time in the settings of the SUNNYCLOCK App or the operating system of your device.
Through the use of these services, information about your use may be transmitted to a Google or Apple server in the USA and stored there. We have no influence over the further processing of data by Google or Apple. Please also read the terms of use of Google or Apple if you wish to use the service. If you do not agree to the processing of data by Google or Apple, please refrain from using the push functions.
Further information can be found at https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/en-ww/.
5 Disclosure of Personal Data (Abroad)
We treat your personal data as confidential in principle and only pass it on if you have explicitly consented to this, we are legally obliged or entitled to do so, or this is necessary for the enforcement of our rights, in particular for the enforcement of claims arising from a contractual relationship.
In addition, certain tasks and services (e.g. hosting) are provided by trusted third-party providers commissioned by us. However, this only takes place to the extent required for the provision of services and in accordance with the obligations arising from this Privacy Policy. These third-party providers are obliged to protect the data on the basis of commissioned data processing in accordance with applicable data protection law. Furthermore, these service providers are carefully selected and regularly reviewed by us to ensure that the privacy of users is maintained.
If the level of data protection in a country where data is processed does not meet the applicable data protection regulations, we ensure contractually that the protection of your personal data corresponds at all times to that in Switzerland or the European Economic Area (EEA).
6 Retention Period
Unless expressly stated otherwise in this Privacy Policy, we process and store your personal data only for as long as is necessary for the fulfilment of our contractual and legal obligations or otherwise for the purposes pursued by the processing, and in accordance with the statutory retention periods.
As soon as your personal data is no longer required for the above-mentioned purposes or a prescribed retention period expires, your personal data will in principle be deleted or blocked as far as possible.
If we store your personal data on the basis of a contractual relationship, this data will remain stored for at least as long as the contractual relationship exists and for as long as limitation periods for possible claims on our part run or statutory or contractual retention obligations exist.
7 Data Security
We take technical and organisational security measures to protect your personal data against manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorised persons. This includes, among other things, the use of recognised encryption methods (e.g. TLS encryption).
Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.
We also take our own internal data protection seriously. Our employees and the service companies commissioned by us are obliged to maintain confidentiality and to comply with data protection regulations. Furthermore, they are only granted access to your personal data to the extent necessary.
8 Use of the Website by Minors
The website and the SUNNYCLOCK App are aimed at an adult audience. Minors, in particular children under the age of 16, are prohibited from transmitting personal data to us or registering for a service without the consent of their parents or legal guardians. If we find that such data has been transmitted to us, it will be deleted. The parents (or legal guardian) of the child may contact us to request deletion or deregistration. For this purpose, we require a copy of an official document identifying you as a parent or person with parental authority.
9 Links to Websites of Other Providers
Our website may contain links to websites of other providers to which this Privacy Policy does not extend. After clicking on the link, we no longer have any influence over the processing of any data transferred to third parties (such as the IP address or the URL), as the behaviour of third parties is naturally beyond our control. We therefore cannot accept any responsibility for the processing of your personal data by third parties. To the extent that the collection, processing or use of your personal data is connected with the use of the websites of other providers, please observe the privacy notices of the respective providers.
Unlawful content was not recognisable at the time of linking. However, a permanent content check and review of linked pages without concrete indications of a legal violation is not reasonable. If we become aware of legal violations, such links will be removed immediately.

The legal basis for processing your personal data is the existence of your consent. For this reason, your consent is obtained during registration for the processing of your personal data and reference is made to this Privacy Policy. If registration serves the purpose of fulfilling a contract to which you are a party or for carrying out pre-contractual measures, this constitutes an additional legal basis for processing your personal data.
10.2.2 Linking with a Web Account
If you have a Web Account in addition to an App Account, you can link your App Account with the Web Account by verifying the email address of your Web Account.
This action synchronises the events of your App and Web Account.
10.2.3 Linking with a Business Account
User Accounts can connect with one or more Business Accounts.
This can be done in two ways:
- Activation of the Business Account by SUNNYCLOCK, provided the owner of the User Account is also the owner of the Business Account.
- Adding a User Account to a Business Account by the User Account of the owner of the Business Account in order to grant host and planning rights.
Adding a User Account to a Business Account gives the User Account the right to plan and sell paid events for the Business Account.
10.2.4 Access Authorisations
For full functionality, the SUNNYCLOCK App requires various access authorisations on your mobile phone. When the SUNNYCLOCK App accesses the respective function, you will therefore be prompted to activate the access authorisation if it has not yet been granted.
The SUNNYCLOCK App requires the following authorisations:
- Contact access: This is required so that your personal contacts can be displayed in the SUNNYCLOCK App. The contact data is compared with registered SUNNYCLOCK users. This is done exclusively using telephone numbers in encrypted form. During the identification of existing users within the telephone number list, no telephone numbers are stored on our servers.

10.2.5 Ongoing Use of the SUNNYCLOCK App and Services

This data is processed to provide the services. This also represents our legitimate interest in data processing. If the processing serves the purpose of fulfilling a contract to which you are a party, this constitutes an additional legal basis for processing your personal data.
10.3 Publishing Events
The SUNNYCLOCK App enables you to share events and the following data with non-users via a web link, in order to be able to plan events with people outside the App. Each event is initially created by a user (host). Hosts can publish an event by sharing event links on private and public channels. If the event also runs via a Business Account, an event can also be published on the SUNNYCLOCK marketplace.
The following data relating to an event is generally freely available upon publication:
- Name of the event
- Image of the event
- Invitation text
- Location of the event
- Date of the event
- Host of the event
As soon as a person wishes to participate in an event via a web link, they need either a Web or App Account. A Web or App Account can activate a published event and thus gain access to the following event data:
- First and last name and image of participants
- When using the team function, additional data such as teams and team names
- Comments on the event
- Media gallery of the event
- Depending on further new functions, additional data required for the specific function.
This data is used to send relevant information to participants regarding the respective appointments and to promote communication between participants and event hosts.
Your personal data is processed for the performance of the contract of which you are a part. In certain cases, processing also takes place on the basis of legitimate interests, in particular to improve our offering and to promote communication and collaboration between participants.
For customer-specific events, additional registration information of participants may be collected. Necessary registration data of participants for the execution of a customer-specific event will be made available to event organisers. In this case, the privacy policy of the event organiser also applies. The guest list and registration data will be deleted as soon as the event is deleted by the administrator of the web event.
10.4 Purchasing Activities and Events
When purchasing paid activities and events, SUNNYCLOCK requires the following data from the user:
- First and last name
- Email address for sending order and payment confirmations
In addition, the necessary payment data must be shared with Payrexx AG. SUNNYCLOCK AG itself does not store any payment data, neither from App, Web nor Business Accounts.
10.5 Push Notifications
Our SUNNYCLOCK App gives you the option of receiving current information about our offering, messages and relevant advertising via so-called push notifications. Push notifications are messages that appear on your mobile phone without opening the respective SUNNYCLOCK App.
For sending push notifications, we use the services Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (Android) and Apple Push Notifications Service (iOS) (see Section 4.3). For this purpose, individual identification numbers are assigned to each mobile phone during SUNNYCLOCK App installation for iOS and Android devices (so-called «Device token» or «Instance ID»). No further data is collected.
When a push notification is sent, the message text and the respective identification number are transmitted to the Google or Apple servers, which then take over the sending of the message to the users' devices.
You can activate or deactivate the receipt of push notifications at any time as follows:
- After installation on your mobile phone, the SUNNYCLOCK App can be found under the «Settings» menu item. There you can set the receipt of messages at any time under «SUNNYCLOCK App Settings > Notifications».
- You can also set the receipt of messages on your mobile phone under the «Settings» menu item of your mobile phone and there under «Notifications».
Further information on Google Firebase Cloud Messaging and Apple Push Notifications Service and privacy can be found in Chapter 4 of this Privacy Policy as well as at https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/en-ww/.
11 Storage and Deletion of Data (App & Web)
The following rules apply to the storage and deletion of data:
- Messages and media in groups remain on the servers for a maximum of 30 days.
- Groups remain on the servers until the last user leaves the group.
- Events and all event data remain on the servers until they are actively deleted by the host or until a group is deleted.
Via Settings/Data Storage in the SUNNYCLOCK App menu, group content can be actively deleted. All your data locally on your phone and all your created chat elements and comments that are still on the chat server will be deleted.
When deleting your User Account, the following data will be deleted from our servers:
- Profile name, profile photo, telephone number
- You will be removed from all groups and events.
- Messages and media sent by you may continue to exist on group participants' phones despite deletion.
- Existing groups administered by the User Account to be deleted will remain. Administrative rights will be automatically assigned to other group members.
If your App and Web Account are linked, deleting your User Account will delete the content of the App and Web Account. If the App Account or Web Account is not linked, you only delete the content of the respective App or Web Account.
Inactive App Accounts:
- App Accounts that have not been online for 180 days will be deleted.
- This is done to ensure data security when assigning inactive mobile telephone numbers to new owners.
- If an App Account was linked to a Web Account, profile and event data will also be available retrospectively via the Web Account and can be linked again to an App Account.
- However, data from groups and group chats will no longer be available after the deletion of a User Account. A new user must recreate groups or be added to them again.
- If an inactive App Account is additionally linked to an active Business Account, deletion of the Business Account will be reviewed.
Inactive Web Accounts:
- As long as a Web Account is linked to an active App Account, the Web Account will not be deleted.
- If a Web Account is not linked to an App Account and has been inactive for 12 months, the Web Account will be deleted.
- The user will be informed 90 and 30 days in advance by email about this process.
Deletion concepts are continuously redefined based on user behaviour and reported in the Privacy Policy.
