Event date options

What are the options for setting an event date?

You can use various date functions to create events:

1) Creating an event on a fixed date
The easiest way to create a date option is to tap a date on the calendar and create a date card using Select Date/Dates. If necessary, adjust the time of the event and leave the repeat function at “No repeat”.

2) Creating a repeating event
Proceed as in case 1 and add a repeat option to the repeat function by selecting the text “No repeat”. Choose between daily, weekly and monthly repeat options.

3) Creating an event with different date options
The classic date poll for an event is created by selecting several individual dates in the calendar. Via “Select date/dates” several date cards are displayed, which can all be individually set in time. After the event has been created with several data options, all participants are asked to answer the individual data options. The admin can then make his/her final decision regarding the date.

4) Creating an event with different repeating date options
Proceed in the same way as in case 3 and add a repeat option to each date card in the repeat function by selecting the text “No repeat”. Choose between daily, weekly and monthly repeat options. Participants can then vote on each repeat option and the admin can make his/her final decision.

5) Creating a multi-day event
If you organize an event over several days, you can plan the selected date on the calendar by selecting the arrow accordingly over a period of time. For multi-day events, you can also create overlapping date options by selecting a first option and creating a date card. Once you’ve created the date card, select other possible dates on the calendar again. With this function you can e.g. create a survey for a weekend trip and ask the group if they want to travel Thursday to Sunday or Friday to Sunday.

6) Change the event date
If your suggestions do not match with the participants opinion, you can create new date options in the calendar and ask the group again. If you adjust an already set date, the entries and answers of the participants will be reset to undecided.
